Reg, very sorry to hear, but it is far from the end of the world and you will get better, it takes time.
My sister had a stroke about 2 years ago, she has made a complete recovery, the only lasting issue is a tendency to get tired more easily than before. But that could also be age.
She had her first vaccination with no side effects, about a month ago.
As others have said, go with the medical advice!

So sorry to hear this news Reg, keep positive and doing what the Docs say. Concentrate on getting back fit and behind the wheel again soon.

Every best wish for a full recovery. I take shed loads of meds to the point that they have to give me more to make sure they don't mess up my gut. Considering the alternatives I'm happy with that. To have lived at all is miracle enough, to have owned a Morgan as well is riches indeed  Biggest disappointment on being discharged from Coronary care was my wife's refusal to wear a naughty nurses outfit

I had a big heart attack out of the blue — now 8 stents later I am fine and have done 12000 Kms on my ebike since. Just makes you live for the moment and allows man maths to justify a new plus four!!! Best of luck for a full recovery.
