Did you not realise that neither the covid rules or road rules apply to cyclists - that`s the way it seems round here anyway.Most of them ride very aggressively and even in lockdown in large groups deliberately blocking the country lanes for motorists - and even as a runner I sometimes have to jump into a ditch as they hog the road.
Sadly - due to an inner ear problem, my balance is not as good as it was and so I gave up cycling - but I always rode defensively and with consideration for other road users.
A couple of years ago I had to stick a cyclist`s chin back on as he had put his head through the passenger window of a car whilst coming round a bend - he insisted that he had not cut the corner - the police told him otherwise! A few weeks later I nearly collected two cyclists cutting the same corner - luckily I was wary but they would have really messed up the front end of my Morgan.
