I'm tiring of Adrian Flux business model regarding insurance renewal, it seems to be : STEP 1, Offer the punter ridiculously high renewal premium. STEP 2, Let them shop around for a better offer. STEP 3, Match the offer. May be I'm wrong at least it keeps us on our toes. Whose getting the best renewal deals on Talk Morgan. My offer for this coming year is £340 fully comp for 5k/year, with no silly add ons like rescue, key loss, ice cover, think i pay first £500. Car is a 2011 +4 with +4 SS engine (200hp Omex MZR). Location is North Yorkshire. What does the panel think? Who are you using? I don't want to speak to a call centre jockey who was selling double glazing yesterday and car insurance today, i want someone who understands his business. Mention of a the car spec seems to cause sharp intakes of breath and ooh, I'll have to come back to you, clearly someone who doesn't know thier business.....an irritating waste of time. Perhaps i need reprogramming🤐

I use Footman James. Been consistent for the last three years.
For me, if my car insurance is hiked, I shop around, find the best price and then buy the insurance from them. When I phone my previous insurer to cancel and they ask if they can match, I refuse and tell them they should have offered me their best price first due to customer loyalty. Makes absolutely no difference to them, but I don't like being ripped off.

I must be missing something, isn't Adrian Flux a broker? Surely the job of an insurance broker is to get the best deal for you, at a fee. How can they benefit from hiking the price? I'm with Heritage, never had a big increase but the actual insurance company they use often changes each year, which is what a broker is supposed to do.

I have been with Headley for 10 years since buying the car. It’s a 2011 +4. My premium this year excluding add ons would have been £338 which was the same price as last year. I did pay an additional amount for Rescue & Legal cover. So same year car but yours has a more powerful engine than mine and the premium is roughly the same. As an additional comment I have always found Headley very professional and easy to deal with. No connection just a satisfied customer!!

All of the larger car companies are doing that in my experience Lowflyer. I am told it is "introduction discount applied to the first year to catch new customers" so their customer loss rate must be pretty sharp.
I use martins money to find out the best combo and then prepare an email to go to them with all the same questions that they are going to ask in it then get them to quote. They then say they have to go through them on the phone with you and record it to give them escape options, sorry legal clarity. This year I made up a number just below the old premium (-5%) and said that was the best quote, they matched it). I agree re the Extras being a fix, except the key one, ask your dealer how much it costs to re-key a car now a days. Trads and Aeros maybe less high-tech but I am guessing the Plus Six/Four will open your eyes?
Brokers seem to have changed a bit. Previously they made their money from the insurance premium (mark up or discount, who knows) but now I see they are putting on an arrangement fee as well. So that was the end of our relationship with A-Plan for anything non-car.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I changed to Gott and Wynn from Heritage on the recommendation of many on here. Not only was the premium competitive but the service was excellent and (as many on here will testify) the claims process is relatively painless.
My plus 8 has an agreed value of £36k, is lightly modified, 3000 miles and legal cover included. premium was £216. due for renewal next month so lets see....
2012 Plus 4 in Sport Green. Much comfier than the Plus 8!

I now use one of those annoying Comparison sites, and by golly, you can save hundreds...I would recommend you have a look at these before you line more executive pockets...

I`m with Headley - very competitive on price and very easy to deal with by email or phone. Plus they do not charge £25 for answering the phone as a previous insurer did. Both the Mog and the Fiesta are with them.
