Mon Chapeau.

Yes that sums him up. I have great respect for him, the Queen Mother & the Queen. He leaves a legacy of great service & of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

I looked at the TV Schedules for the weekend to check to see hen Master Chef is on (I know, I'm sad) as it is the final.

ALL BBC 1 programs today and through the night replaced by "News Special".

As Bruce has said he wanted little fuss.
Just what does the BBC think it is to ignore his wishes and make a massive fuss?

Time to scrap the licence fee and let the BBC die.

I met him three times. He was fantastic company and had no "side" to his character. He did a superb job for 73 years. Its sad that we have some TM whiners who want to "take a pop" within hours of the announcement. Shame on you!

Some of his gaffes were hilarious

I was never sure they were gaffes. He had a wicked sense of humour.

#cynical mode on: It probably qualifies for the "must have a % of new programming per year" given the level of repeats involved.

#marginally less cynical mode resumed....

If we get this level of media nonsense with the death of Prince Phillip, God help us when Queen Elizabeth joins him.
