zero on my Fiesta and £140 on my 4/4 sport - about £11-50 a month Bargain!!! Strange though that I pay direct debit for the Mog - but have to renew every year manually because they cannot cope with a £0. The DVLA make over £500,000 in fines per year from folk forgetting to tax zero rated modern's...bonkers !

Would that include historical "exempt" vehicles Jon, which you still (for the moment) require you go through the "taxing" rigmarole each year

Yes Craig my 4/4 is £165 due at the end of the month ,I think they go up every year on 1st of April . My 2019 VW Tiguan is £150 a bit hit and miss . The powers to be would be better doing away with road tax or a small tax the same for all and then put the tax on fuel that way you would only pay by the miles you cover . Targa would still be more expensive due to MPG .

My fault entirely but I have far too many cars to tax that fall in the £600 bracket so I generally don’t bother.
Just dies t seem right when you can only drive one car at a time.
We have a VW Dribble Bus which is also £600. I have no idea why it’s sooooo foooooking dear. A commercial vehicle.

Strange though that I pay direct debit for the Mog - but have to renew every year manually because they cannot cope with a £0. Same for me with my daughter's Peugeot 108, very frustrating. It's for that reason that I set up a Direct Debit for my Morgan last time round. The car became eligible for Historic Class on 1st April and I have registered it as such so, in theory, I now have a DD in place for a zero-rated car. I will have to wait a year to see if it works, I suspect not but you never know.
