A pleasant surprise was the annual tax on the new Plus Four - €280 a much reduced figure from the €740 on the old Plus4!!! There are hidden benefits to the BMW engine!!

Yes both the Plus4 and the Volvo are £475 as they were over £40,000.

The most VED I pay is on our Mazda 2 - £20 p.a. Daughter's Citroen and my historic Morgan both zero, so twenty quid covers 3 cars for a year.

zero on my Fiesta and £140 on my 4/4 sport - about £11-50 a month Bargain!!! Strange though that I pay direct debit for the Mog - but have to renew every year manually because they cannot cope with a £0.

I do begin to wonder if a fully restored tax free old +4 Mog is the way to go, with SSL front and rear suspension...., up rated discs, etc.

A bit steep compared to our more modern tintops, but bearable,
