Maybe BHM could give my Morgan supplier some lessons in customer service

How it should work.
Brand new car (300 miles old) breaks down (overheating) on a bank holiday weekend. Recovered under cover back to BHM who run it staight into workshop and provide usual mug of tea "we'll see if we can fix it, or arrange a taxi for you to get home; it's our responsibility".
Fault found - fan cable connector has come apart as loom too tight. refixed, wiring adjusted, connector clipped together as well - tested, spilt water & antifreeze cleaned off and area re-polished and we were back on the road again.
Faults can happen, it is how they are resolved that counts. I can only guess how that could have turned out with a mainstream marque and dealership, and am getting to really appreciate the advantages of dealing with fanatics rather than drones...

Couldn't agree more. To add my phrase to yours (something I say to the guys who work with me on a regular basis) - "people don't remember problems, they remember how they were resolved"

That's excellent service Paul, it's good to see the new team are continuing to operate to the same high standards.

Particularly pleased to be back on the road with the lovely weather yesterday - would have been well miffed to have been sat at home, or out in one of the tin-tops on a day like that. As it was, felt like the captain of the 'Saucy Sue' giving trips round the bay to all and sundry in our little hamlet - and a few more converts to 'Mogdom' now!

Will post this afternoon - have been too busy driving, and now have a bit of washing to do (very gently - new paint!)

OK - so it is 4 years on, and I can confirm that my experience of BHM mirrors that described above.
I called up last week saying I would be in the area and was starting to research Morgans. 'come down and drive some' was the immidiate response. So I did - spent a delightful afternoon chatting and drove 3 cars within my price range.
I was shown around the workshop and spent 20mins chatting under a car on the ramp - looking at all the 1930s technology and loving it!
When was the last time you went into a garage and saw a lathe! Propoer engineers and real enthusiasts for the marque. When I crack open the piggy bank, I'll certainally head that way first!
Thanks to Sarah and Kieth for your help and encouragement. 10/10

The contrast with a main stream garage was main reason we ended up spending £35k on a Mog, rather than £15k on an MX5. Even ended up using the experience in my first book ( Business Survival and Prosperity Guaranteed - now also available as a stunningly cheap ebook). Another local dealer I approached at the same time, with the same list of questions, was only prepared to talk to me if I promised to buy a car from them. Brings to mind a childhood story about the wind and the rain trying to get a coat of a man! Still finding them very helpful and friendly.

When I first decided to buy a 4/4 sport I was trying to decide whether to buy it from Morgan France (€42000 at the time - although including mota lita wheel, round mirrors, wheel spinners etc in the spec) or to buy it in the UK (£30000) and import it myself. To this end I visited BHM, explained my dilemma and Sarah & Keith could not have been more helpful. In the end I did buy it from Morgan France as they are quite close to me, would be looking after the car and they supply new cars with 4 years warranty & servicing included, but also because the complication seemed to outweigh the potential saving. I found BHM's approach to be honest & sincere, and they seemed to care more that I made the right decision than to make a sale, for which I was very appreciative. Top marks - a company that deserves to succeed.
