We were up at Skyland last weekend (I am getting used to this retirement thing!)

How many of us will there be this year?! I've not checked with Skyland on the number of registrations. We're getting close to Rendezvous Redo time!
My oil is draining, new filter and oil is ready, new tank and fuel system upgrades installed, a thorough detailing is next and looking forward to this trip!

I have been waiting to see how my work schedule was going to play out and it looks OK. Just called to try and book a room at Skyland, and had an odd experience. The agent had to put me on hold to look up the group. About 10 minutes later, she came back on the line, apologized for the wait, and said the group was too new to book. She said to try back later and use the group code "5AT7OS" (letter "O" and not zero). Anyone else have trouble booking a room recently?

News to me. This was set up quite a while ago. Thanks for that info. I'll give them a call to sort it out. In the meantime, make a reservation one way or another and then switch it over to the group rate.

This morning I spoke with someone who was a bit more knowledgeable about the situation today and he was able to book me at the regular rate, and he would work with his supervisor to adjust it to the group rate. Looking forward to it!

Folks, I received an update from Tasha Price, Marketing Coordinator (T/540.843.2110) at Skyland. The reservation booking code is fixed. She asks that if anyone made a reservation directly and wishes to receive the Group discount, to call Skyland with their current reservation # to shift it over.

Just heard about this 3WM event... any recommendations on a nearby RV site? We are self contained and don’t need powers or water hookup...

Hopefully rcmatt can pipe in with a suggestion. Yes, there is an RV/camp site in the vicinity. I know of others who will stay there. Check google maps for distances of options to the Lodge itself. The Lodge also has ample parking for trailers.

there is a campground at Big Meadows which is about 6 miles south. Otherwise I would check LURAY as well, but that is about 45 minutes away or so.
