Just like to say thanks to the Speedy Marmots Journey Hanger work #18 sound proofing write up.
I followed his steps and am very pleased with the improvement in bevel box noise reduction.

to add two layers of Dynamat.

If you haven't already, adding Dynomat all the way up behind the seatbacks, then sealing the rear bulkhead seams with aluminum tape will help with road debris too. I went so far as to dynomat under the rear tray. Also the footwells, then applied CocoMat panels over it. Big difference.

There are two grease points on the prop shaft, one on each Universal Joint.

Question for both 2017 Betty and Javier, did you leave bottom panel gaps for possible water drainage in the event you get caught in a rain storm? Or did you button things up tight?

In my case I didn't "folded up" the Dynamat pieces, so water can flow over them and meet the existing super thin gap between the chassis tubes and the floor steel plate. I mean I installed them flat on the floor and just getting a little bith under the chassis tubes, but I hope without clogging these thin gaps between the floor steel plate and the chassis tubes.

I still haven't drive under heavy rain (Madrid, Spain, where I live is really dry) so I can't tell you if the Dynamat is avoiding the water to flow out properly...

I did not fill in all the gaps with foam or metal tape. I was afraid it would fill up with water like a bath tub in the rain. Actually thought about adding some drain holes in the floor but changed my mind at the last min.

Thanks both for confirming. I don't plan on driving in the rain, but I live in Texas, so we occassionally have torrential down pours out of no where, so just wanted to be safe.

My new 2020 chassis is mastic-sealed to the aluminium floor panels and it fills with water when we get caught in the rain. I have had to drill holes on the corners to let it drain. In a very wet Wales last year we had nearly an inch of slopping about water in the footwells, which didn't impress Mrs R1NGA very much (the mental scars will take a while to heal there I fear....)
