Had one of John Taylors covers, but being outside 24/7 meant that after about 20mths it had lost its waterproofing and had started to wear through in places. I re-proofed it with fabsil but would still get waterlogged fairly quickly.

Bought a new cover from Cover Systems in Rushden (about a mile from my house). Website Here

It's more expensive, but instead of being woven cloth, it has a textile inner skin, and a 'plasticised' style outer cover which will make it easier to keep clean and be more waterproof.

It also has door zips, so you don't have to remove the cover if you just want to pop in the cockpit. Very impressed.

Here's another good 4 layer breathable outdoor storm cover at similar price and including valise.

RichardV6, do you know how tight the cover is on the car? I use a medium one from Halfords and it's a bit big and have to gather it at the rear and bungee it tight around the luggage rack to take up some of the slack.

Recently I visited a pal who has been keeping his Fezza inside a carcoon for maybe 20 years. I was impressed by it and intrigued that it had lasted that long without dignificant repair. The car inside is immaculate. Worth investigation.

I think the Mrs would grumble as it looks like it would block out the entire front window!

The one I have is made to measure for the car (it looks loose as it's designed for use with the hood up). It has three straps that go underneath - easy to skim under the car.

If you could post a picture of it with rhe hood up that would be great. There's nothing wrong with mine, other than being oversized. I could have went for the smaller size but wasn't sure if the width would fit as the roadster has two differentvwidths depending on the wheels so opted for the baggier one.

That might not be till November! The hood is now up in the spare bedroom.....

If I have time, I'll fold the tonneau back and take a snap with the hood frame up, but remember mine is a 70's 4 seater so very different size to yours.

Thanks, but don't go to the effort, I'm just running things through my mind. And yes, it's a different shape to mine.

Best described as a good but loose fit Leroy so no chaffing. There are two underbody cross straps that hold it in place in strong winds. Front and rear are elasticated. Have left car out in all weathers up to three weeks with no signs of leaks. Sorry no pics of mine fitted just this manufacturers one.
