I hope to get 30 from my Roadster, but it can be either side of that. My Duratec Plus 4 would give 40.

The GDI before the AR mods was never over 32, since then I haven't gone far enough to bother checking, but it's a lot better, I can tell by how fast the needle falls.

Fuel consumption is also an indication of how you drive 🤔🤗🙏

And the journeys you do. Short runs use more as does driving in colder weather. Have just checked my old S1 mileage spreadsheet.
Running avg 28.94, weighted avg 29.22. standard deviation 3.3 .

Wow,,that is pretty specific mpg, how were you able to verify the miles accuracy...I presume you used some form of GPS digital recorder rather than rely on the speedo/trip which can be quite inaccurate?

I've always resisted calculating the specific mpg for cars/motorbikes I own as long as I have a relatively accurate fuel gauge and I can roughly estimate how many miles are left before filling up .I kind of realized after one very busy with traffic motorway trip in my 911 turbo, entertaining myself with just 2nd and 3rd gear overtaking all the way I had nearly emptied the tank in under 100 miles achieving under 6mpg................it was fun but slightly depressing outcome, I decided it was probably better not to know the mpg and just focus on likely range left in tank

I used the odometer & the fuel pumped in. I agree 2 decimal points is probably pushing it but over 45k and 6 years the weighted avg should be pretty good. The main thing for me is if it goes down then something is wrong.

I have never had a Morgan with a good fuel gauge. I use instead distance traveled & refill after say 200 miles. The Brooklands is a real pain to totally fill the tank & only some petrol pumps seem able to go slow enough to totally fill it, after 2 clicks on the pump you can get 8 -10 l more in if you have the right pump , time & patience. However the mpg read out seems very close to the weighted average. After 4279 miles since I bought it in Sept the weighted avg based upon the mpg readout is 25.6, the weighted average based upon fuel pumped in & miles is 25.5. There are due to covid not many long runs in these numbers. The best seen was just under 30 mpg.
I have used a GPS app to compare the trip to a GPS mileage and they are very close.

Seems my 30mpg is a good average to work with for the 3L Roadster.

Actually I'm a bit upset now. It seems I'm an average driver, Must push harder.

Be careful on our current wet roads, there's been a few owners spin 'em & bin 'em

My 3.0 L did about 26 mpg the other day. Got this number when I filled up the tank wt 50 (full tank is 55 l). This result is fairly typical for me driving my Roadster. Seems I have a heavy right foot.

Roadster 3.0l is rated at 225 g CO2 / km which is conerted to 24.4 MPG.
30 MPG would be 180 g CO2 / km.

I have never checked or worried about fuel consumption, I bought the car to have fun, so as long as I can afford Super Unleaded...........
