bit of an oddball one this.
What is the chance that I could get the seats from a 2020 plus 4 to fit into my 1993 plus 8. I can fabricate mounts etc but will they fit width wise?
Theres a (very expensive) pair popped up on eBay from a breaker and I'd be tempted to make a cheeky offer if I thought they might fit

Measure across your floor Gary at the crossmember, between the tunnel and where the outer sill meets the floor.
I'm not home so I can't do a measure, but somebody here should be able to measure.
If this 2020 is a CX Plus Four, then I suspect it may not be so easy.

They look very much like CX platform seats to me.....no idea if they will fit - sorry.
They are listing other bits removed from the 2020 Plusfour - so sad that it got broken so quickly.
Was a Krazy Horse supplied by the look of it - and only 2000 odd miles.. I have purchased bits before from the breaker listed and they do offer a good service - the Mini wheels i bought were better than described.

Yes I’ve just spotted the other parts - looks like it’s a CX car doesn’t it.

The plus four seats sit high and very hard. I had backache after a test drive.

Aw well it was an idea. Just trying to find a sensibly economical way to get reclining seats in mine.
The quest continues.....

Just a thought - would MX5 mk2/2.5 seats fit? from a mazda mx5 1999-2005.
They are a more economic option, pretty comfortable and availability is good.

They are deffo from a CX Mog, as others have said you may be paying for something less confortable
IIRC, didn't Allon Whites offer a recliner upgrade for trads by their trimming dept
