Having been around Morgan discussion groups over quite some time, it was interesting to observe the range of engineering expectations that were discussed, often leading to a degree of conflict, and which was perhaps to be expected but none the less very disappointing, never more so than in the case of the webmaster eventually giving up and closing down eMog, seemingly as the result of varying amounts of abuse from contributors... As an aside it seems best to be very grateful that he seemingly still maintains GoMoG on line with free access to ALL..?
Thus be advised that criticism of the MMC`s engineering quality, justified or otherwise, can lead to unfortunate outcomes in time, as it can really ruffle the feathers of "The Faithful" to whom each and every...err... flaw, seems to be treated as no more than a mere foible, and all very much a part of the Morgan test of character...?
I guess the foibles were perhaps more readily accepted for some when many a Morganeer was more than happy to get the spanners out and get in amongst his/her wonderful sports car that could be a bit of a giant killer in terms of performance when compared to far more exclusive and expensive machinery... ? That works well for me too..

As for myself, I knew well what to expect of a Morgan having spent circa five years on DG`s researching the reality of Morgan ownership, before splashing my cash, and in the end thanks to the care and attention to detail Kevin put into rebuilding what was then his Morgan from the ground up... I have enjoyed many years and miles of Morganeering with minimal foible fettling.
Being a Luddite, all be it one who grudgingly found himself up to his eyes in multitudes of processes controlled by digitisation in my work environment, that was the last thing I desired to be involved with in my Morgan... On the other hand it seems we are perhaps of our time, and there are many Morganeers who are more than comfortable, even perhaps enjoy, the many and varied digital control system foibles that may crop up from time to time along with the more spanner and welder related fun to be had...Each to their own, and as ever determining that Morganeers are perhaps as quirky as their choice of funcars, and just a bit akin to those enjoying "life" in the vid I posted recently.... Each to their own....?

As ever just thinking in type.
