Ask Cain he probably knows.

Yes Cain did. What fun not. The cable from the knob end routes around then enters the heater box on drivers side (uk) then is clipped to the heater matrix. Not sure if you could get to it in situ. Anyway by removing the vents above the gearbox tunnel. The vents have a sprung wire holding them in. Easy to pull the vents & use some long nose pliers to grab the sprung wire & release. Now you can see a Morgan engineered contraption. You can make out the operating cable end which then operates a crank that has it’s own steel wire that operates the flap directly on to the heater matrix. My car is 10 years old so the foam seal on the flap was totally shot, virtually dust. I replaced it with some barbecue felt seal. See green egg barbecue. I could get a screw driver with some brake grease onto the end of the operating cable & cleaned the old hard lube.
On re-install be careful fitting the vents as their wire retainers can fowl the flap over the heater matrix.
If anyone wants some picture pm me with an e-mail address. Yes one day I’ll work out how to post pictures.
