Also, the standard lambda sensors are narrow band so basically only have a very limited range. Think of it as three signals; in the middle is near stochiometric, above is leaner than stochiometric and below is richer than stochiometric. They cannot indicate how far away they are from best mixture nor be used to really control the mixture under different load conditions. If stochiometric is not the desired mixture then narrow band sensors really don't do a whole lot of good.

Will a locked ecu from mmc work on wide band sensors?

The voltages are very different and I think even the number of wires is different. So different circuitry and programming is required. The Emerald ECU can be configured to use either type or none at all.

I wish we had a local Tuner who knew the Emerald, the thing is over my head.

There's nothing unique or bespoke to Emerald - it just uses good, sound technology and provides a compentent ECU tuner the facilities to achieve the desired results. Anyone experienced in setting up programmable ECU's should be able to fly Emerald. They are very good indeed and are just what we need to circumvent the increasing restrictions coded into OEM kit these days.

FWIW, an increase in Fuel Pressure is probably not an ECU-monitored condition, so if an injector is opened for the programmed Duty time, then more pressure in the rail will produce more fuel injected. As explained above, the Narrow Band Lambdas will simply smell what they get given and call for adjustments as required. There's actually every chance that increasing fuel pressure will help alleviate the potential weak running, but as Chris says earlier, what you need is a reprogrammed map for Stage-2 and leave the fuel pressure as stock.

Yes, finding the qualified Tuner is the key. We don’t have one within an hours drive of here and I am not about to turn the MOG over just anybody.

Garage 56 either have or are working on a M3W Stage 2 map for the Emerald and I suspect Krazy Horse won't be far behind. Either of these will be close enough to plug and play and then let the adaptive fuel mapping do it's thing.

When I get home I will be double checking the TPS calibration on my Emerald and then running with wideband lambda sensors hooked up to a processor and a dual channel read out for some tuning on the roll without the rolling road.

I have been using the Emerald from G56 and just took it out because it ran a bit rough, the fan was running most of the time, which could have been set to a different temperature, but I was tired of fooling with it. It really needs a decent Tuner that understands the X-Wedge and has either a dyno capable of holding the Mog or willing to ride and tune. That is not happening here. So the G56 unit is not really a Plug and Play imo.

Not yet, I understand it's a work in progress.
