One of the lift the dot studs on the windscreen of my 2006 4/4 has snapped off, would I be correct in assuming that they are screwed in to the frame? If that is the case and I can remove the remaining portion where would you suggest I look for a replacement, I have looked at a few classic sites but not found anything that looks suitable.
Thanks
Chris

Try Woolies-trim. I’ve just ordered some tonneau fixings from them for the half tonneau I’m making.

Google "lift the dot studs/fasteners" or the like. There are loads of retailers, for instance on ebay. I do not know how it it is fixed to the frame (I have the easy-up hood), but I suppose it is screwed, can't be much else. If the stud is broken completely flush with the frame it might be difficult to get it out, if there is a little remain it ought to have the shape of a nut so you can unscrew it with a little spanner.

Chris they are screwed, if it's bust off flush you can carefully Dremel a slot in the end and remove with a simple screwdriver
Be VERY careful of the thread length on the new stud or you'll be forking out for a new 'screen, compare it to the removed 'bit' and cut down

CooperMan is absolutely right. If the thread length is too long it will crack the screen when you tighten it.
