1988 4/4 1.6L CVH with the smaller 28/32 Weber.
Upon starting off or just giving it the gas with the bonnet up, the motor bogs down before catching and moving on. If this were my TR powered +4 I would say the SU carbs need dashpot oil. finally have the ignition time corrected and new plugs. Rebuilt the Weber with a new accelerator pump, appears to be working all well.
Are there any adjustments I am missing?

Manual or electric fuel pump? Float height set right? Secondary idle jet blocked? Just initial thoughts......

Manual fuel pump. Float height set correct at rebuild, no starvation at high RPM under acceleration loads so I don't think that's an issue. Need to check the idle jet, should be clear but........
Thanks, Bill

May be a lazy pump, when the engines on full chat it's providing enough juice, but at lower revs, may not be pumping enough?

Is it possible to transpose the jets when rebuilding?
The reason I ask is that my CVH engined car had similar symptoms after I swapped to a higher flow air filter than standard. The fix (by Mike Duncan) was to change the jets. I cannot remember any of the details now (15 years later).

Problem Solved: It was the fuel passage between the pump and the venturi; reamed it clean with some wire and now all is good!

Maybe check the hose/s something is blocking things up. could be debris in the tank and or dodgy fuel filter more likely the rubber fuel hose and down to E10 fuel breaking it down.
