I still miss my Ami 8 once in a blue moon, fondly known as the inertia machine.. 60,000 miles of trouble free motoring and it even got us up to Oslo and back via Sweden, Denmark and Germany. Yes, the electric versions are pretty silly money too which is a shame as it would be handy for trips into town and back - being plastic it wouldn't rust away either ..
