OCD and Morgan ownership must be an uncomfortable combination. My condolences pale. There is a previous thread here about the font but sadly no answer.

I'm inclined to agree with the view that it is freehand. However, a letter by Bob Richmond in the latest "Miscellany" has reminded me of the theory, a while ago, that the Morgan logo may have been "cribbed from an old Co-op tobacco tin". I remember seeing pictures that were quite convincing but I don't recall where.

Just to add to the OCD woes, Bob's letter also points out that the PlusFour badge on the new model uses a different font!

Thread revival: Did anyone come-up with an answer ? Having named my new acquisition "Ivor" (as in "What car are you driving these days ?": I've-a Morgan; "What colour is it ?": Ivor-y), I want to get some vinyl lettering cut to emblazon the name on the bonnet, and my OCD also says use the correct font. The "o... and....r" should be easy, I just need the correct "I" and "v". Any suggestions ? (of the helpful kind please !).

Clever thumbs It reminds me of the chap I saw on TV a couple of years ago who called his Pembleton "Snotamog".

Try this.......

There are other font-matchers out there. I just Googled "Match any font"

Look at my TM name "IvorMog"

Chosen with the same logic you used to name your car "Ivor"

I do like Ian's "Snotamog"

PS, my name is Bob although I have been called "Ivor" quite a few times on here.

Any further questions, contact Confused.com
