You won’t regret the Plus Four. I only did 70 miles in one and half hours today and I floated most of the way despite 30’ temps and traffic queues all the way. Aircon kept my left hand and knees cool, even with the roof down. Thus I deduct with the roof up I may have been even “more cooler” and over more of my body parts…..I could be over egging how cool I was but it felt great…it may not have quite the same roar as a V8 but I’m sure it’s just as quick and, slip it over to sports mode and it goes even quicker with pops as you slow down and a healthy rumble from the exhaust 🤣 HB

Daschunds must be obligatory in S5 Aeros... ours is just back from some 350 miles over 4 days, from Sussex to Dorset, where we enjoyed the empty country roads around the delightfully eccentric Plumber Manor Hotel. I'd say the roads were 'quiet', but they weren't when we passed through :-)

Managed a couple of short runs out this weekend one of which ended at Westerham Brewery (not visited before despite being on my doorstep) and is a fabulous little place to spend a Sunday afternoon!
Had a great couple of days with a run down from Oxted to Climping on Sunday to stay the Balliffs Court before heading off on Monday for a track day at Goodwood. The only Biot of frustration was the Aero failing to start on Monday mongering due to the Starter/Solenoid fuse which kept blowing. A quick call to Brands Hatch Morgans and Jaime confirmed that Morgan had installed the incorrect rated fuse when the car was new in 2007 (20A - as per the sticker on the fuse box, which is clearly also incorrect). Therefore with a 30A fuse installed she started on the button and has been 100% since. The run down and back and the time on track allowed me ample opportunity to put the new SSL suspension under scrutiny and I'm delighted with the results. It adds a little suppleness to the ride of the car so on the way down from Surrey in to the Sussex, the quality road surfaces we are blessed with in the UK don't have such a harsh effect on the cabin. The small amount of additional body movement through corners does seem to give the car an even better feel, particularly on the limit as well as making the front a tiny bit more pointy, which I like. Had plenty of track time with only 7 cars out each session. Top speed on the Lavant Straight was an indicated circa 135mph and 2nd gear enabled some lovely controllable power-slides from the chicane on to the pit straight. As usual the Aero seemed to attract a lot of attention and photo opportunities for those spectating as well as comments about the superb noise delivered on full power past the pits in 3rd and 4th - I do adore those side exit exhausts!
Hi Viper, Mark H was there with his crew and his BMW M2 track car on slicks! The Aero did remarkably well although could not hold him off indefinitely; he did have a bit of a "moment" when he forgot he was in an M2 and must have thought he was riding on a Mountfield!
