Like me you are a lucky chap to have BHM on speed dial. Haven't we all?? Fix-by phone is their speciality.

Jamie et al at BHM have been bloody marvellous since I acquired the car and made me feel part of the family which is a great relief. Off out with the TipEx and a Biro to resolve the 20A / 30A misprint on the fuse box cover; if only every issue with the Aero could be resolved so easily. At one point I did consider a rusty nail in place of the fuse for the Starter to ensure I didn't miss the track day - LOL !
Cheers, Paul

Hi Viper, Mark H was there with his crew and his BMW M2 track car on slicks! The Aero did remarkably well although could not hold him off indefinitely; he did have a bit of a "moment" when he forgot he was in an M2 and must have thought he was riding on a Mountfield! Has he still not learnt to drive ? Was he surprised by the pace of the aero?

I think a little, particularly given I've only had it for two months and only done about 300 miles in it so not really 100% settled in the car yet and it was on 8-year old Avon ZV3s. Hopefully I'll be pedalling a little faster next year with more time in the car, newer rubber and some better brakes!
Cheers, Paul

A run in bright warm sunshine to Old Sarum for my tour of duty at the Aircraft Collection. Tarka, parked with the Comet 2 Sagittarius, in the background. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/01/Tarka-at-Old-Sarum-1-July-2021.jpg) I was rather taken by the cloud formation to the east, over the 1916 General Aircraft Sheds, built for the RFC.

Thanks for the kind and positive words about the image and the car's colour. It is a rolls Royce colour from years back, called Bronze: it seems to be a multi component paint, when I had some minor bodywork repairs done the paint technician said the mix had over 30 components.
The car was specified by the Sales team at the factory and it was intended to be eye catching as the car was used for most of 2014 as a press demonstrator. I was told that the paint is very expensive: a number of customers, having seen my car, asked to have it on their new build, but most felt it was too costly: there is one +4 in the same colour, I believe.
