As most seem to post comments that they rarely drive a Mog at night, just remove the bulb & tape the holder out of the way ?
If you're a confident fettler, cut the brass looking tube down in length & fit a tiny LED in the bulb holder to illuminate the clock, that doesn't protrude out of the holder as far as a bulb
