I just don't understand the attraction to the tribute cars. Maybe it's just me. It looks like the car, but it's not the car.

PaulyG, There is no doubt the issue of tribute, replica, or continuation cars is a contentious one. My Auburn is a 1968 build from fiberglass molds with original fittings taken from an original 1936 852 Auburn Boat Tail Speedster. A reasonable condition original in Australia would cost in excess of 2 million Australian dollars. Mine was a fraction of that and provides the benefit of modern performance and reliability with beautiful classic style.
