For those in the U.S. who have replaced the OE fuel pump with the Walbro kit per the Alternative Parts List, where did you source it? I see plenty of Walbro pumps and wiring harnesses but not the rubber boot and hose. Couldn't find the individual arts at Summit. I'm aware of the the high counterfeit rate of the pump itself.

I suspect my <3k mile unit is giving up the ghost. The engine shut down, thankfully within pushing distance of my garage. No sound from the pump. A week later, it started but the pump sounds different.

I bought the pump direct from Walbro to avoid the fakes, here is the page

The rubber foot comes with this kit on Amazon

I found the hose on Ebay

Here is the kit I used, which comes with the rubber foot needed: https://www.ebay.com/itm/163437502460

The Walbro Part Number for the in-tank flexible fuel hose is: Walbro TF0001275

The hose can be found on Ebay and Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Walbro-TF0001275-Fuel-Pump-Replacement/dp/B00FMV3AC2

Get two hoses. You may not need two hoses, but while you are in there replacing the pump and the other hose, why not do the other hose at the same time?

Michael,
I responded on the FB page, but perhaps you didn’t see it. I got my parts from Summit last year

Install kit part number VPN 400-766

Walbro pump part number VPN GSS342BX (found online today https://www.summitracing.com/parts/vpn-gss342bx)

Like Bluebricked, I got the same extra hose “just in case.”

Also, the instructions found on this site for installation are excellent.

For the USA Summit VPN 400-766 seems to get you most of what you need. It would be nice to know if there is anything missing? Glad you like the instructions.

Planenut, yes, instructions are excellent. Thank you.
And thank you to all for generous contributions of technical expertise that allow shade tree mechanics like me keep these eccentric 3W's running well.

Planenut, you and Bunny did a fabulous job. I would NOT have been able to do it without your stoop-by-steps. Even used a teacup, I recall.

I second this. I could never have done this without your instructions. Great job!
