My Sat-Nav has a built-in dash-cam so it has to be on a sucker above the dashboard.

I'm not small (1.86) and with the right setup that's no problem.

For the tripmaster I came up with this.

A piece of aluminum that I put between the dashboard and the upholstery.

Can certainly also work for a GPS

Drove at least more than 20,000 km with this system ant still no use tracks.

One of these on the transmission tunnel, Mobile phone, Google Maps, Bluetooth ear piece. No unsightly brackets etc. But each to his own I guess!

Tom Tom mount has worked for me. Reverted to satnav once reading maps without glasses became tricky. Holds up well in all weathers.
