Being endorsed by a "superstar" rapper is enough to put me off ...... and that's before seeing that arse as well.

It made the headlines at the time and I read it in disbelief, he is long since dead now so it didn't seem like a good idea did it grin2

It's one of those stories like John Major and Salmonella woman shacking up together, they are beyond belief..

Probably seemed a good idea when the programme was signed off a couple of years ago. Doesn't look so relevant now though, but I am sure that they aren't the only organisation that has been wrong footed by the change in market mood.

Mercedes-Benz has become a victim of its own success, they were once a brand of high quality, now all their products seem gimmicky and superfluous. The AMG badge means nothing now either, reduced to a mass market sales tool to gain extra margin. There is a market for such things no doubt, nobody need worry what I think of them when they buy one or anything else like it, I won’t be thinking anything at all, it’s just a car.

That's a good point.

Back in the early 2000's I worked for a big financial services company and we were very keen to get our Board fully clued up on the principles of Information Agility.

The history of business is littered with the corpses of companies who thought that they knew how the future was going to be and that they could carry on doing things the way they always had.

Very interesting comments and I guess MJF has hit the nail on the head with it seeming to be a good idea at the time but the world has moved along a bit since the idea popped into their heads.

I was quite surprised at my own reaction being a dyed in the wool V8 boy so interested in others views, so thank you all for taking the time to comment and have a good weekend thumbs.

Keith, I have seen and heard a couple of those Bullitt models over the last year or so and yes it would fit the bill nicely in a brutal way for far less than half the price of this red offering.
