Hi everybody,
is there a hardtop for a 2018 +4 with this (by me) unloved convertibles hood on the market?
I cań´t imagine how this could be installed, but I like the idea of driving my mog with a hardtop.

As far as I know no. You need to make your own

I ordered my 4/4 in 2011 with a hard top. Really good for all year motoring but it was built during build as each car is different & the way I understand it you would be exceedingly lucky to pick up one that fits your car. For info the hard top replaces the easy up hood using the same fastenings.

Have often thought that a universal size hardtop supplied with self fit catches to match easy up fittings might be an option. The fibreglass moulding edges sufficiently oversize to allow trimming to suit individal car. It must be how MMC have worked in the recent past when the hardtop option was available. Self fit seals and maybe headlining could be part of the kit. MMC build tolerances can't be so diverse as to not make such a viable option.

You would think so, wouldn't you? There does seem to be a reasonable demand for them, after all. There must be some catch though, otherwise someone would have stepped up to make a universal option available. I suspect it would be pretty expensive though.

Thoughts are Tim that the possibly considerable work to make it fit has frightened off manufacturers. Nevertheless a kit explainig the caveats and not for the faint hearted would seem viable.
