and with the tail gate down. It must be from Tennessee

Could be, it's not for me but you can't help admiring his/her woodworking skills.
And it's better looking than that latest offering with with the two spare wheels stuck on the back of it rofl

Good to see a decent pic of the woodie pickup ... posted a very dodgy black and white version pulled out of an old magazine with my phonecam earlier in the thread... you can imagine the quality ... that does it proper justice .... seem to remember it belonging to a Californian winery, but may be wrong.

Does anyone know who made the hood for the Paris-Pekin car that featured earlier in this thread? ..... I'll rarely use the hood so will re-use the rather 'characterful' one that came with the car short-term .... however, Mrs Image has expressed a preference for a hood that works on a more permanent basis .... We both like this design and never intend to carry live Humans in the back .... it may be impractical (or really stupidly expensive) to get one like it ... but worth following up

That’s a great looking hood, definitely worth tracking down, the one problem with my 2 seater is there’s nowhere to put our wellies, we really could have been doing with them for our trip, the extra room you’ll have would have been perfect.

If I was having my hood remade I'd certainly have the rear side screens removed and replaced by an extended part of the hood as in the picture.

One mod I'm looking at is having a couple of vertical zips put in either side of the rear screen - but easier to get the shopping in and out, can leave it unzipped (and folded back over the hood frame) for more open running, and will make folding it easier - currently it is impossible to fold up without creasing the side windows.

Keith, I'm pretty sure SimonH had a hand in the prep of this car so he could well know who did the hood work.

Richard .... did drop him a message back then but no response ... he's a busy man and guess he did the mechanicals rather than the sewing machine stuff 🙂
