Yes John it's an in town Sainsbury's now and the hospital is vastly improved and has a new build ( 5yrs ish ) out by B & Q so handy for hip replacement odds and ends if they run out of bits.

You wouldn't recognise the place now the expansion is incredible but unlike our locality it has affordable housing at present which is great for the younger workforce just setting out.

Ridgways shoes (opposite the library) finally closed last year and we went along and Heather managed to buy 4 pairs and I managed to get a pair of trainers under duress, it was a bit sad really as we often used the shop as they specialised in the good quality German brands that Heather likes.

Yes it is . My gran & I used to wander via the staff entrance into the zoo. She did the confused old lady act & I was a very confused lad. Quite a shock to see the rebuild on Hayes Rd as the family name is Hayes & I assumed at 3 years old it was built specially for us along with the special zoo entrance.
