I ordered a spare wheel cover for Belle via BHM with a view to polishing it up.
The parts arrived but MMC had left lots of swirl marks in the ali.

So over the next few months I spent a few hours polishing. It now is nearly done & I'll fit it later this month.

I am still wondering about what to do with the arms of the rack that bolt to the chassis. To remove & have a gap in the rear valance or to keep them on.

The idea will be to have the ability to add back the spare & rack for longer tours.

Good job John, I bet that was a mucky process. As for your brackets, I'd be tempted to remove them and live with the gaps in the valance.

As you want to use the brackets again in the future, how about leaving them on and mounting a couple of car badges on them, or add a couple of rear reflectors, or use one as a “UK” plate mounting bracket?

I think I will see how easily they come off.

How about leaving them and placing a stainless steel rod or pipe running from side to side between the brackets?

True that has been suggested as a badge bar.
I'm not sure though where I could get that from.

Splendid job, that's the kind of effort that I admire !

Some commercial plumbers fit stainless piping (in 15, 22 or 28mm diameters) or you might get something from a bathroom place .... either way a bit that long would be refreshingly cheap by Morgan standards

I think that will look great in place of the spare wheel and I have thought of doing something similar, albeit painted.

However, I can't think how to carry the sidescreens without the rack.

Do you keep them on all the time or how do you carry them?

On the side screens I see this as an off season set up as we tour in the summer. That means shorter runs with the screens on.
