Congratulations on your retirement HB. You won't regret it. Within 3 months, you will be wondering how you ever found time for work.

HB, CONGRATULATIONS. Will you replace Ernie? From my perspective, a Morgan and a Tesla are all a man could want! Well, all the cars a man could want!

Thanks Paul and Peter Lots of ideas but going to give a week or two to adjust before doing “stuff”…albeit the weight increase needs sorting-my lord, I’ve never eaten and drunk so much in such a short space of time!!!! I even had to loosen the kilt during one the formal dinners just to be able to breathe (#firstworldproblem) At the mo the A3 probably has at least another year or two’s lifespan so sticking with it. I am hoping that the rumoured smaller Tesla actually appears, if it has similar performance (with hopefully increased range) to the Model 3 then I would get it at the drop of a hat. Fingers crossed… HB

Cheers John First day of formal retirement now we’re back from Scotland so a quick 35 mile blast to Stamford to check out a supplier of Hormann garage doors, followed by a trip to a local garden centre for breakfast (with lovely comments from other peeps in the car park) and then a trip up the A1 in the beautiful sunshine. So far I’m liking this retirement lark 🥳😎😝 HB

Trip to Princethorpe today (40 odd miles) to visit a pal then home again tomorrow. Meeting up with HeadlessBlue on Wednesday for a trip around Rutland. Looking forward to it. Should be up to about 1,500 miles by the end of the week. Not bad for a six week old car.

Good to see you too Graham. The third tonneau seems to be just fine thanks. Stupid - four letter word of your choice - that I am I managed to open the back of my hood this evening before undoing the passenger side Tenax. Snapped the f@£$%^ing pin!!!!! More than eight years of knowing not to do that and now I've done it. God only knows how much that is going to cost to fix. What a t@££$t!! Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. John

John, don`t beat yourself up. Can there be anyone here who has not done something very similar, and more than once, in my case being a BB, it is something I just got used to and likely to happen with increasing regularity.. Shrug..!

When I did that, I drilled the remains with a pin chuck, then tapped in a modellers triangular diamond file, and the remains just unscrewed out.
