Studded winter tyres would be a less severe version. Heavy rash when contact made so extended pain instead of quick death? No martyrs and likely good deterrent to a repeat. We have that type of wheel adapter for golf trolleys for winter use. . Called Crocodiles. Made from rubber with rubber studs. The aim is to prevent wheelspin when you start your electric trolley on wet/soft ground. I am about to fit mine as the use has been started this year again.
