Thanks for the update Graham, we loved Orford staying in one of the old cottages down near the quay and soaking up the history with day trips in the surrounding area for a week.

This was Mike Duncan's garage at Hartlebury. I used to have my Mogs serviced there. The whole setup was very reminicent of garages I used to frequent in the 60s.

I was supposed to be working in the school holidays but mostly I was lavishing TLC on any sports cars that came in. If they were going into the showroom for sale then I could officially drool over them and they really got the red carpet treatment!
Sadly, this is the same garage site today. Progress.

I remember John Worrall telling me that he and Mike Duncan rented the garage off the previous operator/owner Geoff Richardson. who lived at the back of the property. Geoff Richardson was a well known post war racing driver and aviator who built a lot of his own competion cars under the name Richardson Racing Automobiles. It was during that period he employed a chap by the name of Maurice Owen.and it was at that time that Mr Richardson fitted an American V8 into a Morgan, so is that where the idea came from ?
