Hi Everyone,
my name is graham, and I have recently taken ownership of 913CMT a 53/54 +4 flat rad 4 seater, purchased around 2 months ago from Richard Thorne (the car is still listed on their website minus the bullhorn bumper:
The Car )
the car is is of a slightly older restoration, and now holds a nice patina. she has however seen only a little use in her past 22 years, and unfortunately, that has brought up a few mechanical issues now I'm pressing her back into regular service, mainly high temperatures at speeds above +50mph. with each use she is improving as I've identified issues and continue to resolved them. though long distance runs are still at the moment out of the question.
she's my second classic car, the first being a 1990's mini which was my only car for the last 3 years, I don't need to drive anywhere for the most part so very much enjoy having something special to get into when I want to. I'm in my early 30's and wanted to learn how to look after something a little older, so I have the skills, knowledge and experience to maintain and use a vehicle of this vintage whilst the information is easily available from other owners.
I am currently working through the myriad of new memberships I need to be part of as well as hammering the online bookstore for every available maintenance manual and flat rad book I can find.
I'm very much looking forward to using her in every possible way once the overheating issues have been resolved as well as meeting many of my fellow Morgan Owners in the process.
