My lady likes the roof up, side panels on, blower on, gloves on, coat on, scarf on and then says 'actually it's quite cosy'...

The moment the council start salting is the moment I stop driving the Morgan in the winter.

Whilst I don't worry about the rain, (although if I know it is going to be a horrible, rainy, dark day, I won't take the Morgan because they (imho) aren't enjoyable in those conditions), I'm not keen on salt stuck to the underside of my car, slowly eating away at metal and unprotected surfaces. Probably a little precious of me but at the same time, it is a special car and I'd like to keep it that way.

Yep I never drive it if they salt the roads. Otherwise it is used at least once per week

Was out in mine yesterday!

Pretty chilly with the roof off and side panels stowed away but got plenty of waves, which was nice!

I won't be driving it much from now on either. It was dry all weekend so I didn't get salty water and the associated black muck all over it. I just gave it a quick wash and polish to remove any corrosive dust that might have been picked up. The motorcycling is finished now as well.

They were salting the M20 on friday when I was on my way back to France with a van full of Adnams. They haven't started over here yet - when they do, that'll be it for me too.

Well , I think the Aveyron is too poor for them to be salting the roads so I'm looking forward to bright blue skies and my moustache freezing. Meabh.

I had a nice rum out on Sunday around the Chilterns and got a nice wave from an MG owner who also had top down. Just arrived home when the rain came in for the rest of the day.

Re that lovely salt nono , lumps of it do tend to stick to the under seal wax and sit on top of the Z frame so I try to avoid, but I will venture out on a lovely dry winter day sunny .
