Great work Peter. Thank you for your efforts. I haven't lost anything. As Rich says let us know if the funds are low. Enjoy Xmas in I guess Italy

Thank you for your work even thought you are spending less time with us.

No apparently the site is not vulnerable to the Log4j attacks according to the developer.

The problem was with the version of MySQL that did not support the InnoDB Storage Engine now required by the Chevereto script. We have arrived at the point where we had to upgrade or hosting in any case as we had arrived at 90% of both storage space and the permissable number of nodes (files, in simple terms). I had also recently increased the maximum permissable size of stored images too to allow a slightly higher image resolution.

This upgrade will allow about a 75% increase in the number of files and unlimited storage space. There are other plansw available which will allow future increases when required.

This move will also prepare us for v. 4 of the Chevereto script when it is released in the near future. In the mean time, if I can find the time, I will be beta testing on a sub-domain.

Cheers
Peter

I have their Android app on both phone and tablet. All that is required is to take a photo or use an existing one. Whilst viewing it I tap on share, tap on Imgur option then tap to upload. Takes about 3 seconds. Tapping on uploaded image within app gives a direct image URL copy option, ready to paste on forum between image tags. I stay logged in to app so it's always instantly available.

There are versions for Apple and Windows devices, and it's free with no intrusive advertising smile

You don't really need an app with our site as the mobile version works very well in most browsers. From the Upload button on the home page you can load images from your phone file system, URLs, and directly from the camera in your phone.

Since it is browser based it should work on all devices and, of course we have no advertising at all. It is also free to all members but voluntary donations can be made.

Thanks for the Christmas wishes and I would also like to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas (or holiday season of your choice).

Let us hope that 2022 sees us coming out of the pandemic and allows us to travel once more without too many concerns.

Today I was up at the crack of dawn to go up to Sondrio, which is 50km from home in the direction of the famous Stelvio Pass. It was a lovely sunny morning but a -4° C and snow and ice alongside the road I was feeling thankful that I have just fitted Michelin CrossClimate 2 tyres to the Jag. drive

Cheers
Peter

I am certain Peter is too modest to say anything so I will. If anyone would like to say Thank You to peter for his code skill the donate button is in the about tab at the top right. grin2 cheers

I could not resist. Apparently Marmots can fly, at least on the Stelvio 😂
