Likewise - have watched his videos on & off since meeting him filming at Goodwood on a McLaren GT drive day.
Ped generally finds the good in a car, without being blind to the faults. I'm fine with that - it's far preferable to the clickbait drama nonsense that others use, exaggerating minor aspects of a car into major faults.

100% agree. Ped has a love and appreciation being able to do what he does and the cars that he vehicles he gets to drive. Quite humble about it as well which you can see shine through in some of his vids.

Peter, my 3.7l roadster with spare or without does the same. Far worse than the S1 & previous trads. I think it is the front undertray & rear panel for the fog & reverse lights. John My Morganeering started with a 2011 Plus 4 which seemed to get as much rain on the inside of the windscreen as out when roof down in heavy rain. Other than that it was OK. I replaced that in 2017 with a 3.7L Roadster which was pretty much the same. Both had spare wheels. I now have a 22MY Plus Four which sucks all manner of stuff into the car. It's also the first time I have had muck coating the sidescreen bag when on the luggage rack. I am told this is down to the smooth underside of the CX chassis compared to the trad. Perhaps it needs a diffuser? John

No problem - I had no idea until did some research for the next ThamesMOG newsletter. As I said, 28m views M3W55 is somewhat correct. While the number of views are in fact large, when you compare that to established and heavy hitters, he is quite new and small in the world of reviewers. I've been watching his channel for quite some time now and enjoy his content but you will be hard pressed to find him being overly critical about anything. I would love to see Mat Watson from Carwow do a review. Now that would be interesting Likewise - have watched his videos on & off since meeting him filming at Goodwood on a McLaren GT drive day. Maybe he gets a bit of corporate hospitality as well...? If he wants to maintain his business model, he is hardly going to be ultra critical. Otherwise he will have to go out and actually spend some money to hire one to produce his videos, without fear of backlash.I think that just about sums it up....

/sarcy mode on /daft mode on /sheep mode on /Interweb may not improve my life mode on Not quite. Sadly there are quite a few IT industry petrolheads who have this as a sideline and it self funds after a while. So the goal is actually to generate as much content to bring people to his/her blog/vlog/bog as possible and then it kicks off. So the more interesting content that brings page links the better. There are only so many cat videos that the interweb can consume. In essence you put your videos up online through youtube and adverts appear on the page next to your blather. As you collect a following companies begin to notice your ranking and give you money to have their specific products on your page. Lets say you hit 100,000 of specific followers around a specific market/interest then you can see 10p per advert presented (each time someone visits your page) from really keen sponsors. This before you hit Patreon, tip jar and all the other official begging sites. I understand a typical "donation" is £10-20 as they like and follow you. Try this URL about how much people can make as a guide. https://www.quora.com/How-much-do-sponsors-usually-pay-YouTubersSo hence the interweb is full of naff Youtube cat videos, self made reviews, unboxings, and what is now referred to as "user generated content". All it needs is an iPhone, 10 GoPro's, 10 suction mounts and most of all talent. Am I jealous because a few people are making a LOT of money out of it. Does the tax man seed anything out of this digital economy. (yes, no?) Search for a bloke called Shmee150 who now has his own car collection as a result of his following/advertising. This is not a trivial income and if the wiki page is true then good for him. He also has his own merch (merchandising), Wiki page and I mistakenly clicked on one of his videos for a Taycan the other day. It provoked a strong reaction in me for various reasons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwevvreoNjE&ab_channel=Shmee150 Whineypinhead. (sorry not very kind comment) sitting in his £120k Taycan Turbo in London and complaining about how hard it is to charge. 1st world wazzocks. His home page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIRgR4iANHI2taJdz8hjwLw the main video being the launch of his Schmueseum where he will keep his cars. (MUST_NOT_PUNCH_SCREEN (again) ) sponsored by eBay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkdzUf-7Vao&ab_channel=Shmee150 (please tell me he did not really say Schmaneva Motor Show......) Really like the interior on the Blue S5 85,000 views. As you say in the old days they would have been called amateur train enthusiasts or various other terms, now it qualifies as a primary income. Jealous, me, no (yes) but I don't want to see my ugly gob or hear my voice on the Interweb. For balance there are some really great contributors such as Harrys Garage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C-dSOf0jp4&ab_channel=Harry%27sgarage /return to generic cynical mode engaged
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

There's a specialist team looking at taxation on both You Tube and E Bay Alistair. It was largely untapped for many years, and residency obviously complicates matters but anyone ignoring their responsibilities may well end up paying a lot more. The revenue stream is obvious from the companies who pay this money and would be an obvious place to look. A simple download will produce a target list.

I think that just about sums it up.... [/quote] um, that's not quite how it works. Ped gives a pretty honest description from 'bout 10 minutes here https://youtu.be/P9BxQGc3G7Q & goes into how car manufacturers value videos like his. Jonny Smith did a very open interview with Tim/Shmee https://youtu.be/_uBaEPBtyO8 which describes how his business works. In essence, it's hard work. For example shmee150 works long hours, most days - https://socialblade.com/youtube/user/shmee150 says over 4,000 videos! Will
