I carry a Stop Lock in the pizza slot of the Roadster. I haven't used it for twenty years or so but put it on yesterday and thought that a thief would have to be very serious and need a lot of time to remove it.

This BEP marine battery isolator is of better quality than the cheapo T key car type, with a higher current rating and self cleaning contact action. I had three including the heavy duty version fitted to my last boat. The key which is very much less common can be removed after use.

I have used two "Discarnect"s with varying degrees of (un)reliability, but I'd never come across the BEP.

re: pizza slot. Very useful and in addition to fast food, carries all my other bits and pieces. You know, all those things that you never ever need until you leave them at home.

I like Dirks solution to security, remove the drivers seat !!!!!

I had an isolator switch on my 4/4 when I bought it. Enough of a voltage drop across it to affect starting. So make sure the one you use is good quality.

I 've got the idea from Mr Bean but I wouldn't copy him!
