I carry a Stop Lock in the pizza slot of the Roadster. I haven't used it for twenty years or so but put it on yesterday and thought that a thief would have to be very serious and need a lot of time to remove it.

This BEP marine battery isolator is of better quality than the cheapo T key car type, with a higher current rating and self cleaning contact action. I had three including the heavy duty version fitted to my last boat. I have used two "Discarnect"s with varying degrees of (un)reliability, but I'd never come across the BEP.

I had an isolator switch on my 4/4 when I bought it. Enough of a voltage drop across it to affect starting. So make sure the one you use is good quality.
