I have located the battery isolating switch at the upper corner inside the glove compartment. Painted the red handle black, so not easy to see. Easy to reach (for me) but not easy to find for anyone else (I hope). It is a struggle to get it there, but for me it seems a better position than behind the seats. Mounted keychain to the handle, so I can add it tot my car keys when I leave the car.

That would work on LHD cars Rene as I believe all later cars had the rear mounted battery feeding forward via two similar large gauge positive cables around 35mm2. The cables ran along the right hand side of car under door sill then upwards, one direct to starter motor and the other to battery positive distribution post behind that side of dash, close to glove box on LHD cars.
Assuming you have a later car, did you arrange for isolator to switch both feeds?

Correct Richard, I have only one feed isolated, the feed to the starter motor is not interrupted. What's the advantage of disconnecting both? Despite of having the complete battery disconnected. Or is it wish full thinking by me that a short circuit caused by the starter motor will be very rare.
