Thanks Richard,

I mentioned the minimum CCA because the S&S X Wedge manual suggests a minimum of 300 CCA. Just a little more info to make a decision.

Like I said I haven’t had any problem with this battery application in the M3W for the past 3 - 4 years. But if you can get a better battery cheaper by all means.

Thanks.

There is a long list of batteries that fit the M3W in the Alternative Parts List at the top of this forum in the "M3W Owners Resources".

Definitely not Rob. Ridiculously expensive. Anyway you need a bit of weight over the back end wink...

LOL - I've never come across a battery being put behind the seats of a 3-wheeler. Wouldnt recommend it either, and pretty sure the added weight would be minimal for traction purposes!

When I go there it says its a deleted Dropbox file. My dealer said they use an Interstate FAYIX-30L. Anybody tried that?

You have to go to the end of the thread for the current link. This is the most recent post with the live link.

Whatever battery you get, its life is hugely extended by use of a CTEK charger/conditioner which keeps it in top condition....not that cheapbut still a fraction of the cost of a new battery so a good deal given the extension of life....ours is always connected when not in use...the CTEK has settings for AGM motorcycle batteries which are appropriate for our application

Always kept mine on a Battery Tender. My battery , the original, lasted six years.

Ken,

I have used the Duragm 30LAUS also bought from Battery Plus here in Arizona. CCA 400. Keep it on CTEK charger and they seem to last about 3 years. Current one cost $134.00 and is about 1/2 inch taller than original in my 2012.

Used the longer J rods otherwise fits perfectly. The Yuasa also sounds good but would have to change terminal clamps.

Couple extra notes. I placed thin cork under the top cross plate to secure the battery better. Also if you use this battery, use the longer of the two bolts supplied and use two washers for the negative terminal and one washer for the positive terminal. That will be self explanatory when you install it.

After an all day search, I went to Batteries Plus and got the exact same battery. It fit perfectly, but we obviously have something different going on, lol. Not only did I not need a spacer like you did with cork, but I could barely get the bracket back on. Still, I was able to use the same Jayhawks that came with the car and get it snug down perfectly. Also I tried to use the longer bolts like you suggested and they were too long. I used the shorter bolts and didn’t use any washers at all. The battery cost me $145
