For some reason rarely mentioned in the lists of celebrity owners but Lynda Baron, who passed away at the weekend, was a Morgan enthusiast. She even named her son Morgan. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/03/09/LyndaBaron-Morgan.jpg) Rest in peace, Auntie Mabel.

She had a very long career. What’s the year of that advert?

The two seater which she is posing in is a bit of a rarity, a 1966 Plus 4 Competition model.
Its still in existence, in the hands of its original owner, who happens to be my godfather.
Apparently during the photo shoot, LB scratched the rear panel with her ring.
Peter Morgan phoned my godfather to advise that collection would be delayed whist they resprayed the tail panel.

I know we were all a tad slimmer in 1966 but accommodating "six very close friends" is pushing it a bit. Interesting that the car has no rear bumper, was that common then? I was never sure whether Lynda Baron was genuinely a Morgan owner or just hired for the promotion. I see that her daughter Sarah is a member of the Morgan History Facebook group and has posted her memories of riding in the back of her mother's car as a child, so It would seem that "nurse Gladys" really did own that four-seater.
