Well, look who turned up at my back door this afternoon.... A magnificent Tree Python decided to slither onto the southern balcony of the farm and take a peek into the living room. I have been clearing some brush and trees in the vicinity so I may have disturbed him. He is just beautiful and seemed very content having a look around till our three Cavaliers picked up the sent and went berserk on the other side of the window. We get poisonous spiders in this part of the (not very tropical) New Forest. But if you inadvertently shove your head into a nest of False Widows (and spiderlings) as I did while cleaning out the rafters, you can get a nasty sting.
