Bet you are glad someone did not leave the door open! Dead right Alistair. We had a big goanna get into the lounge one day through an open door. It was fun trying to get him off the curtains and back into the bush.

(p.s. that is a joke) And a good joke too.... I know we have two pythons around the property. The other one is a little smaller but with much prettier markings - make a much better handbag.  I keep telling the missus to be careful leaving the screen door open for the dogs to get onto the balcony because you don't know who will try to come in. This bloke is OK (so long as he stays outside) but I would not want to pull him out from under the lounge...

In the forest at Nimbin I touched a 4 metre + Carpet Python on the tail. It was minding its own business and didn't give a damn about 3 humans walking behind it - until I touched it that is. I could not believe how quickly a 4 metre snake could turn around  . Fortunately not aggressive, just a warning to mind my own business and let it get on with its.
