Hello everyone, I have found a large hole in the heater air intake filter. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/03/11/IMG_20220311_162439701_HDR.md.jpg) Does anyone know where I can get some of this stuff from? I could nick a pair of tights from  but that wouldn't go down well!!! Thanks.

I got mine on fleabay. This sort of thing but it was black.

Have a look at an aquarium shop, the stuff is sold in rolls to refill the filters in tropical fish tanks. I bought enough for about 20 Morgans for about £5 and gave most of it away.
I was quoted £25+VAT from a Morgan dealer for just enough to do my car!

Should our 1985 4/4 have a filter in the heater air intake?
Is it a good idea to retrofit one?
The heater currently works well and has a foam seal surround between intake & bonnet but no filter.

The heater currently works well and has a foam seal surround between intake & bonnet but no filter. My 94 car did , sorry no idea on earlier cars but if there is a clear ridge/ trough as in the photo to hold a filter I would say so.

Good shout on the Aquarium foam filter. Any thoughts on whether a finer foam would work as well, or perhaps even restrict hot flow in summer?

Sorry no idea. I took a piece from the car and found the black charcoal loaded aquarium filter seemed an almost perfect match so only tried that. In my aquarium the filter set had black charcoal filters, Blue course and green fine filter elements. From the aquarium manufacturers they were quite expensive but the shop owner showed me the rolls of filter medium at a fraction on the price. It was years later I bought a Morgan and when I found the heater filter breaking up remembered the aquarium medium.

Bob. That thought crossed my mind but there is another filter on the other side, direct copy and it has a small tear in it so it's going the same way with out rodent assistance. Anyway, our cat is under strict instructions to look out for this moggy during the winter. Thanks Spanner, the aquatic center sounds a good place to look for Morgan spares!!! Regards.
