When we had French work experince students in my office I always gave them that to translate. Fair to say that most were not amused.....

We had one once - when he left he wanted to give a thankyou card to one of my colleagues for all her help. He wanted to write 'Thank you for teaching me', and asked me how to spell teaching. I was very happy to tell him it was 't o u c h i n g'......

It may well be that others know this ..... but it completely passed me by until today. Luke Skywalker's iconic Speeder in Star Wars was based on a Bond Bug chassis! .... and the Speeder itself was designed by Tom Karen .... the same man who designed the original Bug. Here's a pic of it without the angled mirror skirts that gave the impression it was levitating. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/11/05/Screenshot_20221105-134645_Chrome.jpg) You can clearly see the three-legged underpinnings 🙂 K

Wrong three-wheeler though chaps .... though Reliant did buy out Bond ... it appears that Reliant were wary of producing the Bug as they thought such a flighty thing might tarnish the credentials of their more workaday trikes ... they used the Bond name when they acquired the company to distance the two strands of their output ... I always thought it a pity that the 4 wheeler version of the Bug never made it beyond the prototypes (after all, Reliant made the 4 wheel Rebel) ... would have been a fine little city car.
I actually owned a Reliant Supervan for about a Month (hazy as to why but think it was to do with Mrs Image in militant biker mode being scornful of mere 4 wheeled contraptions but needing winter transport she could use on her bike licence which was all she had) .... bizarre thing to drive ... at 40 mph it felt like a Lancaster in a power-dive!! ... she decided snow on two-wheels was the safer option 🙂
