I use Tomtom vio, it's originally made for scooter, but it fit very well the 3 Wheeler!

But the Rammount solution showed here is very nice! I will may be also use this with an iPad mini 2 I just have back.

I'm resurrecting this thread to ask if anyone has experience with vibration damaging their iPhone' camera and or with the Quad Lock and its Vibration Damper as a solution.

@MichaelS

I use the SPconnect system. I have the regular screen mount in my normal cars and their “clutch mount pro” mounted onto the usual dash retaining hex bolts without any mods. It looks smart (black on black) and the angle can be adjusted perfectly to be completely square to the driver but out of the primary eye line for driver and passenger.

I went for the anti vibration module but not to convinced it does much. Everything shakes so much! Google maps is still clearly visible including the small print though

I could send you photos if you let me know your email. I still can’t attach on here it’s just not intuitive.

I hold my phone on one of these. The flange of the base slips up under the leather dashboard decoration and simply sticks to the metal beneath. Rock solid. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p...nt-magnetic-car-phone-holder/554067.html

Garmin motorcycle GPS on a ball mount that replaced a bolt in the dashboard. I have changed to shorter arms to position it a bit better but with this mount I can easily pop off the gps and put it in my pocket so nobody walks off with it. It gives speed, time position and route and more.

Thanks for the ideas, guys.
Reason for asking.....

I recently bought a BMW K1600 with a Navigator V GPS (integrated comm' system) and am considering how to leverage components into the 3W. One option is to buy a second Nav V mounting/power system for use in the 3W and signal-permitting, to wedge it in the on the center console under the dash. Otherwise place it onto the dash as Lightspeed has done.

a Simpler solution is to use only my iPhone/earbuds for navigation/music with a ball mount-->3" extension-->Quad Lock' vibration damper--> QuadLock/Charging pad installed on or under the dash that I swap between the bike and 3W. It's the spirited vibration at idle that has me concerned about the iPhone. Functionally this is the more elegant solution.

I'm a hard of hearing old Coot so I use my Bluetooth hearing aids connected to my iPhone which works a treat.

Given Apple's warning about vibration from high-powered motorcycle engines damaging modern iPhones, I would not mount my iPhone on my M3W. The S&S engine delivers world-class shaking as we all know. A vibration damper would need to be extraordinarily effective to dampen that, and it would be an expensive experiment to run if a damper is not effective!

Long headless bolt - notched plastic ball (TomTom size; larger for Garmins).

Are you satisfied with this solution?

I installed this RAM mount for my Garmin Zumo.
I use my Garmin in my Morgan and on my Kawasaki motorbike and in various rental cars.

Only on my Morgan I notice poor GPS precision whenever I am between mountains or high buildings.
On flat terrain it works fine - as ususal.

I suspect that the metal dashboard blocks half of the sky so that the Garmin can't calculate a good position fix.

An external antenna might help, but I haven't tried it yet.
