Probably a dumb question but recently I had to use my little lithium jump start battery to start my Plus 4 as the battery had gone flat. It worked perfectly but it was a real pain to take all the luggage from behind the seats, undo the screws to the battery cover behind the seats, move the seat forward etc and access still wasn't easy to get the clips onto the terminals. Is there any way to start the car using the jump starter battery by connecting to relevant points under the bonnet? Wouldn't have been much fun if I had been away and it was raining...

Have a look here. You could then connect jump battery connector to starter motor if it's more convenient. Current goes direct to where it's needed then.

IIRC connect the red jump lead to the main starter lead and the black lead to a good earth.

Agreed Keith What is better is that the current from jump battery in both legs goes direct to the starter motor.
