Would be interested to know, as at least one other that has been previously welded (by MMC) has had cracks now appearing elsewhere...only real solution is replacement chassis.

I never heard of the chassis crack recall only the pedal check. Maybe I did not hear because my 2013 car had the crack at the top wishbone mount & MMC rebuilt it with a new chassis in 2017. Despite it having the retrofit triangle brace behind the engine it still cracked.

Tim you mean that you’re having a NEW chassis and it still cracked ? If yes where is the crack ?

I think/hope that we are having some recycling of established problems:

I am unaware of any problems with the latter phase (2014+?) chassis that had welded in brace and I understand different gauge/quality tubing.

The original chassis was prone to cracking by the upper wishbone - many chassis have been replaced because of this

Other cars with the original chassis were fitted with a bolt-in brace. Some of these have exhibited cracking in 2 locations - firstly by the upper wishbone probably because cracking had been initiated before the brace was fitted (these required a new chassis) - secondly some have exhibited cracks on a vertical tube below the wishbone - this can be fixed by welding and I think Phil Bleazey has a good piece on how this can be done. I understand this second are of cracking has not been seen on the recent chassis because of the brace and/or tube gauge change and/or reinforcement.

The buyers guide on the MTWC site is good on this topic and given the history of this topic, regular inspections are a good idea....

The original chassis cracked despite brace. Replacement still good.

Just found the dreaded crack on mine, near the lower wishbone! What’s the process to resolve this? Just contact MMC, or do I have to go through a dealer?

Ironically I was only at Morgan today! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Not another one. You must be so disappointed. I really feel for M3W owners - you never know what's next....
No doubt the Morgan Motor Company will be along very soon to collect your vehicle and replace the chassis at no cost to you
