10 am a gentle run out to Waitrose to get petrol, pate and cheese! The A36 was quiet, going into Salisbury.
Petrol: 33L @ £1.79/litre = £8.05/gallon. Hmm.
£58.84 for about half a tank.
Worth every penny.
An hour later the roads were choked so a diversion round the "Outer Salisbury Ring Road" by way of Pitton and Farley. Further, but far better than sitting in traffic.
Whilst the sun shines the Plus 8 is out to play!

Lovely drive yesterday to Adrian (AJSki2fly) and Sue’s at their home in Colyford. Tea and chocolate brownies were consumed.
Deliberately stayed away from the coast, as the resorts were rammed.
‘Twas a bit chilly on the way home, but made it just before the rain started.

Moved to West Wales just after Christmas and Easter Sunday was the first chance we have had to get out.
Gentle drive out via side roads to Bury Port, Pembrey and Pendine Sands. Fairly sunny weather and temperature was ideal as it was not to warm.
Roads were very empty, maybe this is due to fuel prices.

When I was out yesterday a huge XC90 SUV Volvo T8 attempted to out drag me but didn't quite manage it and of course I overtook him and left him in the distance come the twisty bits as it lumbered along like a hobbled horse.
I didn't mention it yesterday as I hadn't done my homework on the T8, apparently it's a hybrid with 448 bhp I can only imagine it must weigh a few tonnes as my Plus 8 is 190bhp on a good day and about a tonne.
Made me smile as my car is 23 years old and the T8 was a recent plate.
Mine is pretty close to 6.0S 0-60 as far as I can measure so still very relevant in todays world for my needs.

Finally fired up the Mog yesterday to wake it up from SORN, having taxed it starting April, I enjoyed a circa 30 mile shake-down run, and today met up with some members of a local vintage/classic car club who meet at a hotel with a large car park, we were blessed with great spring sunshine... Thought to add a couple of pics.... The owner of the Austin Seven is 89 years of age, kinda gives a youngster like me in his 70`s a bit of encouragement..(-: Whether or not only using premium fuel in the Mog it showed no apparent issues in that I had filled the tank prior to Winter and seem to remember having read where some folk suffered issues relating to the bio content in fuels https://www.tm-img.com/image/Fot41https://www.tm-img.com/image/Fo3cj
